The Summer Destination for Good Vibes!

What started as a series of release parties for the Surf Roots compilation CDs (benefit for the USA Surf Team) has grown into a traveling festival! The 1st Surf Roots Tour kicked off in 2006 with concerts up and down the CA coast at clubs, colleges, and major surf events. The tour has featured incredible lineups each summer, including dates with ANUHEA, THE GREEN, SASHAMON, DIRTY HEADS, THE B FOUNDATION, COMMON SENSE, BALLYHOO, TOMORROWS BAD SEEDS, STRANGER & more at the US Open of Surfing, SWAT Spring Break, West Beach Festival, numerous clubs and college campuses. The SRT has also gone international, in 2006 to San Felipe, Mexico, and in 2008 an extensive tour of Japan. Each summer the tour promotes a positive lifestyle, bringing together the good vibes of reggae-rock music and environmental consciousness.

Comment by Jesse Lee on May 10, 2013 at 7:24pm just saw Oogee Wawa and Fear Nuttin Band, that was dope. Saw Oogee Wawa play a side stage at a SOJA, Slightly Stoopid & 311 show, that was radical. Going to see Oogee Wawa, The Dirty Heads and The Wailers in June. If you can put all of them together add some Ballyhoo!, Iration, Pacific Dub, Seedless, Cheezy and the Crackers & Bumpin Uglies i'd be all set!
Comment by ThirdEyeVibe on February 24, 2013 at 8:28am all of the aforementioned and JAH ROOTS... for 2013 that is...

Comment by Bill Kimple on June 1, 2012 at 10:10am SPRING HAS SPRUNG AND THE LONG AWAITED SUMMER SURF / REGGAE FESTIVAL SEASON IS NOW UPON US.

ALOT OF 'GREAT' REGGAE/ROCK BANDS THIS YEAR BUT ONE BAND THAT REALLY STICKS OUT OF THE SAND, (YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR EARS AND EYES WIDE OPEN FOR) AND IS WHAT IS SEEMINGLY TO BE, AN UP AND COMING RISING PHENOMINON..
A BAND BY THE NAME OF, 'THE DIRTY DEUCES' I HAPPENED TO CATCH THEM LAST WEEKEND (SUNDAY MAY 27TH) AT THE SAINT ROCKE IN HERMOSA BEACH AND THEY LTTERALLY BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN WITH THEIR GRAND FINALE, -A SONG CALLED, 'TIKI GIRL'.
COULD THIS UNDERGROUND SOUTHERN CALI BAND BE THE NEXT FAT SHACK?
AFTER SEEING THESE GUYS I HAVE TO SAY, I WOULDN'T BET AGAINST THEM.
I PREDICT THEY WILL BE IN THE NEXT LINE UP.
THEIR ARE WHISPERS GOING AROUND IN THE SURF BOARD HUDDLE THAT THEY WILL BE RELEASING THEIR DEBUT ALBUM AT THE END OF THIS MONTH AND FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, BY THE REACTONS OF THE CROWD IT'S GOING TO BE HUGE! IF I KNEW NOW, WHAT I KNEW THEN.. WHEN I SAW SUBLIME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE CLUBS, I WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST IN LINE GETTING THAT CD AND HAVING THEM ALL SIGN IT. NOW, I HAVE TO LISTEN TO MY FATHER BRAG ABOUT HIS STUPID VAN HALEN, 'RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL' LP THAT HE GOT AUTOGRAPHED BY THE ENTIRE BAND AT THE WHISKEY! CHA!
AT ANY EVENT, THE DIRTY DEUCES ARE SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AGAIN THIS SATURDAY JUNE 2ND, AT THE SAINT ROCKE IN HERMOSA BEACH WITH TWO OTHER KILLER BANDS, 'TRENCHTOWN' AND 'COMMON SENSE'. I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO GET MY TICKETS PRE-SALE DISCOUNT. THE LAST PERFORMANCE WAS A SOLD OUT SHOW! A GOOD DEEP DISCOUNT PRESALE NUMBER IF TICKETS ARE GONE IS 310-424-0090. -SEE YOU IN THE SURF OR SEE YOU IN THE SAND!
SALUTATIONS AND GOOD VIBRATIONS!
